Since the age of five, I had one and
only one career in mind, and I grew up to become exactly
what I dreamed of: a paramedic/ firefighter. Unfortunately,
I suffered a debilitating and career-ending injury
a couple of years ago, and I can no longer take part
in my dream job.
So I had to dream up a new job, and
it's all about writing. I enjoy reading and writing
Lesbian fiction and have published numerous articles
for online e-zines and short stories for anthologies.
With Verda Foster, I also edited the 2008 anthology,
Blue Collar Lesbian Erotica. We're doing
a sequel of sorts called Women in Uniform: Medics
and Soldiers and Cops, Oh My! That one will
come out in May 2010.
I'm also heavily involved in the Golden
Crown Literary Society and am currently serving as
Executive Director. If you don't already know about
it, please check it out at www.goldencrown.org.
My latest writing endeavor is to put
the finishing touches on a novel called Soul's
Rescue, which I hope to see published in late
spring as well.
Other notes about my background: I grew
up in Ohio, the daughter of a police officer mother
and chief of police father. I collect coins, books,
and friends, and my wife and I have seven cats. I
married Sandra, the partner of my dreams in 2008 in
Holland with her family and my mom, sister, and brother-in-law
in attendance, and we're living happily ever after.
Life is better than I ever dreamed!
